the name "redletter" comes from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. when you land a sketchy trick, the lettering turns red and shakes. so having a "redletter" day is when nothing's going quite right. "redletter: the blog" is an extension of that. it's a little sketchy, and nothing about it is quite right. even if we ever land that up-up-down-down-left-right combo, we'll just lose points for sketchiness.

No clever headline here...

I spent my 4th of July weekend in Boston. Nothing really to report, but it was a good time.
I saw some neat stuff, including my good friend Nic Darlinton. He approves of dinosaurs, so I approve of him.
I also saw the best graffiti in the world at a bus stop:

And I bought some things. I bought "You Are Here" by thenewno2.
I stopped by Orchard and picked up some tee-shirts and a pair of the best-looking skate shoes I've seen in a while:

And I had some delicious lobster ravioli at the Union Oyster House. It's the oldest restaurant in America (says their menu), and it's pretty fucking tasty. Highly recommended.
